LLMOcheki launches Estimated AI Impressions, expressing AI search exposure as a monthly count

Itera, Inc. (head office: Shinjuku-ku, Tokyo; Representative Director: Takayuki Muto) has begun offering Estimated AI Impressions in LLMOcheki, its tool for measuring and improving LLMO. The new metric estimates, on a monthly basis, how many times a brand is exposed in the answers generated by AI. The business impact of AI search work — hard to convey through an appearance rate expressed as a percentage — can now be understood in the same unit advertising uses: a count.

Rather than “an appearance rate of X%”, results read as “roughly 1,200 to 4,800 exposures a month”, which can be reported to leadership in the same unit as advertising.

Background: you cannot make an investment decision from a percentage

As ChatGPT and Google AI Mode have spread, how much AI introduces you has come to shape a company’s customer acquisition. But the AI visibility metric used until now — appearance rate as a percentage — does not reflect how much demand sits behind each question. Appearing 100% of the time on a question asked a few dozen times a month looks better on paper than appearing 20% of the time on a question asked tens of thousands of times.

The result was that reporting “our appearance rate went up” did not explain business impact, and was hard to use as a basis for reporting to leadership or for deciding on further investment.

What Estimated AI Impressions is

For each question (prompt), the probability of appearing is multiplied by the estimated number of times that question is asked of AI per month, and the result is displayed as a range — for example “roughly 1,200 to 4,800 exposures in AI answers per month”.

The probability of appearing is a measured value from repeated measurement under the LLMO measurement standard we publish. It is calculated statistically from n measurements, not from the result of a single question.

The estimated monthly count is an estimate based on search demand data and on the rate of migration to AI search by industry.

  • Displayed permanently at the top of the dashboard, ready to use for before-and-after comparison and for reporting to management
  • A breakdown of the questions contributing most is shown, so you can resolve which questions’ exposure is generating business value
  • Questions not yet researched can be covered by a one-click bulk demand survey

Availability

Now available on every plan, with no additional plan charge. Credits are consumed only when running a demand survey (2 CR per question).

Comment from our Representative Director

“The hardest thing in AI search work is explaining results to the business. You can report that the appearance rate went from 50% to 68%, and nobody knows what that is worth in revenue. Translate it into impressions — a unit the advertising world already uses fluently — and you can judge, in the language of the business, whether this work deserves people and budget.”

About LLMOcheki

LLMOcheki is a SaaS product that continuously measures how a brand appears and is cited in AI search across eight engines: ChatGPT, Gemini, Perplexity, Claude, Google AI Overview, AI Mode, SearchGPT and Copilot. Its “n-shot statistical measurement” runs the same question multiple times and expresses appearance as a probability with a 95% confidence interval, making the highly variable output of AI answers visible in a statistically dependable form. It covers measurement, competitor comparison, and content generation and improvement informed by the analysis — all in one place.
