So that job applicants and others can go about seeking work with peace of mind, Itera, Inc. does not tolerate sexual harassment of them.

Conduct covered

This policy covers conduct in which sexual words or behaviour by an employee of ours obstructs a job applicant in seeking work. The following are examples.

• Asking about someone’s sexual history or circumstances
• Remarks or jokes of a sexual nature
• Persistently inviting someone to a meal or a date
• Unnecessary physical contact
• Pressing someone to exchange personal contact details or to communicate privately
• Any other sexual words or behaviour the other person finds unwelcome

This applies not only in person but also to conduct by telephone, email, social media and online.

How we respond

We deal strictly, under our work rules and related regulations, with any employee who sexually harasses a job applicant. Where a consultation is raised, we establish the facts with due regard for privacy, and appropriately see to the care of the person affected, measures against the person responsible, and prevention of recurrence.

Our measures

• Communicating this policy to employees and training them on it
• Setting rules for recruitment interviews and similar settings
• Establishing and publicising a contact point available to job applicants
• Protecting the privacy of those who raise a consultation
• Responding promptly and appropriately when something occurs

We respect the character and dignity of every job applicant, and work to create an environment in which they can seek work with peace of mind.
